We recommend the following courses for the required 7 hours for CNA instructors:

• Resident-Centered Approach to Dementia Care  - 1 HOUR
• Resident Choice & Staff Empowerment - 6 HOURS

For the subsequent year, the following courses are recommended:

• Behavioral Health, Including Dementia  - 6 HOURS
• Abuse, Neglect & Exploitation  - 1 HOUR
• Resident Rights -  1 HOUR
