• Discuss what the disaster and emergency preparedness plan includes.

Course Description

Disasters and emergencies often strike when you least expect it.  Adult care home staff must be educated about the plan.  They also must have access to the plan at all times.  When the emergency arises we often do not remember the plan.  Staff are providing services to residents that are vulnerable, especially in an emergency.  This course will discuss types of emergencies and disasters, other than fires, what to look for, and how to respond.
